Terms & Conditions

Please read the full process carefully before requesting an appointment. These terms explain how projects are selected, designed, priced and scheduled.

Before requesting an appointment, please read the full process carefully. Every tattoo is treated as a serious artistic project, built with the intention of lasting a lifetime.

Fábio does not rush his work or accept projects simply to fill the schedule. The focus is always the highest possible quality, with projects selected only when there is a clear opportunity to create something outstanding.

Booking with Fábio means investing in a custom work of art created with passion, skill and meticulous attention to detail.

If the client’s idea is not the right fit for Fábio’s style, there is no need to worry. Fábio will guide the client toward the most qualified artist for that specific idea.

Each tattoo is entirely custom and unique. Fábio does not copy other tattoos, repeat previous designs or work with pre-made concepts.

Every piece is crafted from scratch so it flows with the client’s body and enhances the original idea in the strongest possible way.

Fábio works best with full artistic freedom over composition, contrast, detail and placement. The client’s idea is always respected, but it is transformed into a tailored artwork rather than a direct copy of a reference.

If a request does not fit Fábio’s style, he may recommend another artist from the studio who is better suited for that specific idea.

The design process is the foundation of every tattoo and is treated with the same seriousness as the execution. Fábio dedicates separate time to research, references and composition instead of rushing a design under pressure.

Once the appointment is booked, Fábio prepares the project by selecting and refining references, structuring the composition and making sure the tattoo flows naturally on the client’s body.

Fábio will always maintain the theme requested by the client, but with his own interpretation. In most cases, he searches for and chooses the references used in the project.

The design is shown digitally in person at the first scheduled session. Clients are expected to trust Fábio’s decisions regarding placement, references, contrast, details, suggestions and advice.

Fábio’s base price is $3000 per session. When a project requires more sessions, Fábio respects the long-term relationship with the client and adjusts the session price to make large projects more accessible.

Fábio’s prices are based on the following options:

  • Fábio Freedom Designs: $1200 per session for selected designs created with full artistic freedom in Fábio’s dark realism style.
  • Large-scale custom tattoos: $2000 per session for projects that require more than 3 sessions, based on any theme suggested by the client.
  • Medium piece: $2500 per session for tattoos that need fewer than 3 sessions and are not single pieces or full large-scale projects.
  • Single pieces: $3000 per session for tattoos completed in one studio visit, without large-scale planning.

All other projects are treated normally. The special price is only for selected dark realism opportunities because these projects are used for tattoo school recordings and educational content. These sessions include extensive filming, so the discounted rate helps Fábio expand his portfolio and create premium educational material.

  • A $500 deposit by Zelle is required for each scheduled day.
  • The deposit is not refundable under any circumstance.
  • The deposit is deducted from the final value after each day session.
  • Payments are made per session. No payment is requested in advance besides the deposit.

After an appointment request is submitted, the exact category and estimated number of sessions are confirmed by email.

A one day session includes 5-6 hours of tattooing. Sessions start at 9:30am and usually last until 3-4pm, with a 15 minute lunch break.

There may be exceptions where Fábio takes a little longer if more time is needed to finish the work planned for that day. He does not charge extra for that.

Unlike many artists, Fábio does not take breaks unless the client asks for one.

Everything is prepared before the client arrives: tattoo equipment, hygiene procedures, project, material and stencil. Fábio is ready to start tattooing by 9:30am.

Before the client arrives, 5-6 hours of work have already been completed: theme research, reference selection, image creation, design, stencil preparation, equipment setup and hygiene preparation. This allows the client to arrive and spend the day focused on being tattooed, without losing unnecessary hours in the studio.

Many clients travel to work with Fábio, often from outside Houston, other states or other countries. The session structure is planned to make each trip productive and efficient.

For tattoos that need fewer than 3 sessions, the client can often complete everything in 3 consecutive days without needing to return for the final stage, unlike the structure recommended for large-scale projects.

4+4 Session Structure

Four consecutive days for mapping and structure, followed by at least 3-4 weeks of healing, then four consecutive days for saturation, definition and depth.

3+3+2 Session Structure

Three days for mapping and foundational work, a minimum 3-4 week healing period, three days for depth and saturation, then two days for fine details, highlights and final refinement.

This structure supports better healing, color retention and long-term durability while helping traveling clients use their time efficiently.

Fábio uses a specialized multi-phase technique designed for superior detail, longevity and healing quality. The goal is for the tattoo to heal with strong contrast, depth and consistency over time.

Phase 1 - Mapping & Structure

The first session maps the entire design on the body, creating the foundation, flow and structure of the tattoo as one harmonious composition.

Phase 2 - Saturation, Definition & Depth

The next phase brings the tattoo to life by refining details, enhancing depth and contrast, and layering pigment over a fully healed first session for stronger saturation.

  • Less trauma to the skin and smoother healing
  • Less painful experience because the second phase builds over a structured foundation
  • Better color and contrast retention, with less risk of patchy saturation
  • A more efficient large-scale process with fewer total hours than rushed single-pass work

Smaller tattoos are handled differently. When the piece does not require the full mapping method, Fábio can complete it in one pass so the client can leave with a finished tattoo in only one or two studio visits.

The focus is not only on how the tattoo looks fresh, but how bold, deep and detailed it remains after healing.

Arm Sleeve7-8 day sessions
Leg Sleeve9-12 day sessions
Back Piece7-10 day sessions
Front Piece8-12 day sessions

The final number of sessions depends on the client’s body dimensions, tolerance to discomfort, the complexity of the design and the skin’s reaction during tattooing, including bleeding, skin texture and skin tags.

The estimated number of sessions is confirmed by email after the project is reviewed. If a project ever exceeds the maximum number of sessions estimated by email, Fábio takes responsibility and offers the remaining sessions needed to complete the tattoo properly.

This rarely happens, but when it does, the priority is finishing the design with maximum quality instead of rushing only to match an estimate.

Fábio’s personal manager pays close attention to every appointment request. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to the masterpiece that comes with it.
